24 Mount'n Family
A young
eighteen year old California girl is orphaned when her parents suddenly die in
a tragic car wreck. Her father estranged from the Kentucky family patriarch
left him guardianship over his daughter and his estate. The family patriarch
goes to visit the teen and convinces her that she needs her family now more
than ever and convinces her to come meet the clan who live in the Cumberland
Plateau hills of Kentucky. The granddaughter and grandfather drive across the
country and in so doing get to know one another and a strong unconventional
bond grows. She leans on her Grandpap for emotional support and he becomes her
mentor. When she arrives in Kentucky she is welcomed with open arms and her cross-country
odyssey has prepared her for her indoctrination into the unconventional
lifestyle of the hill country family.
